Offshore Wind Farm near Brighton

Glentaffe were very pleased to be invited to tour around the Rampion Offshore Wind Farm. This offshore wind farm now generates enough green energy to power the equivalent of around 350,000 UK homes. 

The wind farm comprises 116 turbines on a 70 square kilometre site located between 13 and 20 kilometres of the Sussex coast in the English Channel. We boated from Brighton with a party including commercial property lawyers and were able to see the not only the magnificent wind turbines but also the mounted control tower.  

Offshore Wind Farms use undersea cables to transmit electricity back to the grid through a series of cables buried in the sea floor.  Glentaffe has experience in advising electricity regulators and has conducted financial reviews of onshore wind farms, and is looking to extend this expertise to offshore farms.
