WHY SHOULD YOU CARE ABOUT MARKETING? BECAUSE IT PRODUCES RESULTS

“Marketing is not a specialised business activity – it is the whole enterprise seen from the customers point of view” (Drucker: “Practice of Management” 1954).

Why care about marketing?  Because as Drucker goes on to say “Marketing and innovation produces results. All the rest are costs. Marketing is the distinguishing unique function of the business” and “the purpose of business is to create a customer”.

All businesses need to care about marketing. There are six steps from market research, then assessing, developing value propositions, identifying mismatches, then confirming the new value proposition, before acting on it and procuring spend. At Glentaffe we work collaboratively with our clients.  Our work groups will include cross functional client members and people from Glentaffe with relevant skill sets and experience to the project at hand.

Full articles and checklists are available for review. For these please contact Andrew.
